July 19th.

I didn't say goodbye. It was time too, but I didn't.
Because my friend, she told me that it's not a goodbye, it's a see you later.
I didn't cry (one tear doesn't count, does it?), I made everyone promise that they wouldn't say anything that would cause tears.
We laughed and ate and drank $6 frozen cocktails (oh, so good) and, well, laughed. By the end of the night, sitting in Baskin Robins eating the best ice creams, I tried desperately to make a speech that wasn't clichéd. Yeah, no, not possible! But no matter what the words, I will miss them all horribly. And they know that, without my clichés.
It's not a goodbye... it's a see ya later.

July 1st.

I turned 20 today. I have had two decades of life, and feel like I've only really started living. The countdown to take off has started. I figure I can start now, it's a pretty easy figure to calculate. 36 days. So close now!

I had a bright green birthday cake. Just because. And my parents gave me a gift that I truly treasure.

It's Saint Christopher. You know, to protect me on my travels. I love it.
